James had the honor of having his No. 13 jersey retired at his alma mater - Artesia High School.
Hailing from humble beginnings, James emphasized the community at Artesia High that lifted him up and set the foundation for his success. During this commemorative jersey retirement, he shared plans to give back and pay forward the support to current Bulldogs.
James unveiled exciting enhancements on the horizon including fully refurbished indoor basketball facilities, upgraded locker rooms and weight training areas for athletes. Partner Shoe Palace also committed funds to refresh the outdoor courts plus $20,000 in academic scholarships.
